What does this look like?
* A home visit: We arrange a time and I come to your home and we have a session there.
*A park visit: We arrange to meet somewhere in a park, preferably under cover at a picnic table. There are many places around the Sunshine Coast where we can find a quiet spot to have a session.
*Walk and Talk Therapy: We arrange to meet in a reserve, on a beach or at a coastal walking track and we enjoy the outdoors and some exercise while having a session.
Who will benefit from a home visit, a park visit or a walk and talk therapy session?
*Home visits allow you to have the convenience and comfort of working on yourself and your issues without leaving your home. For those who have anxiety or have a baby or small children, it is more conducive to work on yourself within the familiar surroundings of your home.
*Park visits are great if you enjoy being outdoors and you want a less “formal” session. Of course it’s important to find a place that is private and away from other people. This method works well for those who live in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane where I go once a month and do home and park visits.
*Walk and Talk therapy sessions are perfect for those who enjoy walking. Research indicates that exercise is beneficial for our physical and mental health. It is especially helpful for depression and anxiety.
Claiming on private health funds and Medicare
*Home & park visits can be claimed on many private health funds. Please check with your fund. A detailed receipt will be given to you for claiming purposes.
*Medicare also allows home and park sessions under a mental health care plan.

A lifetime of experience!
Barb currently lives on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland. She loves the simple joys in life: walks on the beach, conversations over a coffee or meal, having a massage, watching the sunset and the full moon rise, traveling to new places & experiencing new things, connecting & sharing stories with newfound friends, hanging out in her garden, going on rainforest walks, snorkeling, practicing yoga with others, sitting around an outdoor fire with friends. In short, Barb loves tapping into “flow,” living in the moment, finding her bliss in the simplicity and beauty of life.
My Areas of Interest
Feeling lost, alone and afraid
Stress (related to work, home, family)
Interpersonal problems (with partner, friends, siblings, parents, children)
Low self-worth and lack of self-love
The Soul always knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind.
Take time every day to do something that makes your soul smile
My soul is from elsewhere. I’m sure of that. And I intend to end up there.
The Soul is the truth of who we are.
