WHO ARE MY TYPICAL CLIENTS

Who are my “Typical” Clients:

*Most of them have some insight into their issues but need direction/guidance and support as they navigate their way through life changes, crises or ongoing stresses. Life is highly stressful these days and moving at an increasingly rapid pace. We seem to have advanced so far in terms of technology and material gains, yet we have such high rates of depression, heart disease, and suicide. Most of the clients I attract have come to the point of saying “There’s definitely more to life than this!” They know the system no longer supports them. They know they want to shift. They just need some intuitive support from a qualified person. Someone they can lean into as they process things. Someone to work alongside who helps them find solid ground. And someone who makes them feel empowered.

*They may be enmeshed in co-dependent relationships and want to learn ways to change this suffocating pattern. They know it feels “off” but can’t quite pinpoint what is wrong or how to change it.

*Many have experienced trauma in their lives and want to bring healing to these areas. Trauma sets up a pattern of its own and is often at the core of many other issues such as depression, anxiety and low self-worth, as well as addictions to food, shopping, alcohol and so on.

*Some are women with young children who are trying to “do it all,” an impossible task that will eventually cause overwhelm. None of us, men or women, are meant to work ourselves into the ground day after day. We need lots of down time. Our soul needs replenishing every single day. If we keep pushing ourselves, we will end up in crisis: a mental breakdown, an accident, a physical illness. We need to give ourselves permission to let go of expectations and introduce more self-care into our days.

*The men who come to see me are usually successful in their work lives but struggle with depression or anxiety and feel unable to share this with others. For men, the stigma attached to mental health issues is a real problem in our culture. It is slowly changing, thank goodness. I feel so honoured when a man walks into my office and begins the journey to his Soul and trusts me to accompany him.

*And finally many are women in their menopausal years who are feeling depleted, depressed, lost. Often they have given out to others all their lives and given up their own dreams, desires, needs and wants as they care for children, partners, and parents. When midlife hits and the hormones start flowing, many women are shocked at the repercussions and need someone to help them understand what is happening to them. I have travelled this road myself so I have first-hand experience at this one!

My Approach & Values

My What — What do I do?

I help others recognise their patterns, blockages, negative beliefs and deep core wounds and I support them to heal, cleanse and release all that does not serve them.

My Why – Why do I do what I do?

I believe my work contributes to the healing of the planet, by raising vibrations, one emotion, one belief, one heart at a time.

My How — I use guided meditations, inner child healing treatments, supportive intuitive counselling and traditional Psychological therapies.

My Gifts — A listening ear. A compassionate heart. New perspectives. Ideas, challenges, hope, support, love and care. I see the bigger picture. I inspire, illumine, nurture and empower. I point the way to your Soul.

A lifetime of experience!

Barb currently lives on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland. She loves the simple joys in life: walks on the beach, conversations over a coffee or meal, having a massage, watching the sunset and the full moon rise, traveling to new places & experiencing new things, connecting & sharing stories with newfound friends, hanging out in her garden, going on rainforest walks, snorkeling, practicing yoga with others, sitting around an outdoor fire with friends. In short, Barb loves tapping into “flow,” living in the moment, finding her bliss in the simplicity and beauty of life.
